Roanoke Rapids Police Chief Chuck Hasty announced today after The Daily Herald’s print deadline that RRPD on Tuesday arrested 35-year-old Roanoke Rapids resident Wayne Wilkins Jr. in connection with a Jan. 2 shooting at Yesteryear Café & Lounge.
